Glaucoma

Glaucoma also known as the silent thief of sight is the leading cause of blindness and everyone is at risk for it.  Glaucoma is a disease to the optic nerve which sends information from the eye to the brain. This disease slowly affects the peripheral vision which is imperceptible to patients.  If glaucoma is untreated it can cause irreversible blindness. During an annual eye exam we can detect early stage glaucoma and begin treatment to slow down or completely stop progression of glaucoma.
